The Story

Purezza opened in 2015 as the UK’s first vegan pizzeria, built on the goal of making plant-based Italian food genuinely better than the traditional alternative rather than just an ethical substitute.

What To Order

The signature vegan mozzarella – developed over two years in-house using Italian brown rice – is the centrepiece, alongside raw cashew cheeses, a ricotta-style cheese and a creamy coconut cheese, all topping a traditional-recipe dough matured for 48 hours before stretching.

Good To Know

Gluten-free options run throughout the menu too, including gluten-free sourdough pizzas and pasta dishes – with over 9,000 reviews at a 4.8-star average, Purezza’s Camden site has built one of the strongest reputations of any restaurant on this whole list.
